Crooked Road
Have you ever reminisced about how all the people and things you've experienced along the way to your dreams have pushed and pulled you to this point? Sometimes, that tiny desire might have been born in your heart a long, long time ago. Ann's neighbour, Miss Pei, appeared elegant and mature in Ann's eyes, serving as a role model. But before becoming the shining person she is now, Miss Pei had many immature, disheartened, and not-so-beautiful aspects to her. As Ann looked at Miss Pei, she thought that one day she also wanted to become an adult like her, though Ann might not yet know that the path to achieving her dreams wouldn't be easy.

Miss Pei is our next-door neighbour, and we're like family.

Miss Pei sometimes comes to our house, and I always look forward to drawing and reading with her!

My favourite thing is listening to her sharing her experiences from when she went to America because when she talks about that part of her life, her eyes sparkle.

I always want to do the same things as Miss Pei. "Kids can't drink coffee, but one day we can drink together!" Miss Pei says.

I'm walking on the path to my dreams.

I'm walking on the path to my dreams.

Looking down through the plane's window, the streets and houses become smaller and smaller, as if I can see that tiny me too.
